Celeb Babies

Most Interesting Celebrity Baby’s Names

Nowadays, people rarely see a celebrity baby who has an ordinary name. Most famous people will come up with unique names for their babies and everyone wants to know how the name was invented and what does it stand for. Here are some of the most interesting celeb baby names and a couple of explanations.

Nicholas Cage is known for being a comic book fan. He even changed his name from the famous Coppola to Cage, some say in an attempt to avoid nepotism while others speculate that he did it as a tribute to Luke Cage, the well known Marvel character. When his son was born in 2005, he decided that he should be named Kal-El, which is Superman’s real name. This was a controversial decision; some people love it, while others hate it.

Another interesting name is that of Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter: Apple. People didn’t know what to think of it until they’ve heard the explanation. It seems that Gwyneth thinks that Apple is a cute name and the fruit is “lovely and sweet”. This is one of the celebrity baby names which people like because of its uniqueness. The next one, however, it’s a little bit different.

Sage Moonblood is the name of Sylvester Stallone’s son. Luckily, Moonblood is his second name and he might not have to use it that often.

Another questionable name is Rocket and it belongs to the son of Robert Rodriguez. A name that also falls into this category is Moxie Crimefighter. This is how Penn, from the Penn and Teller act, decided to name his child.

Fifi Trixibelle is the name of Bob Geldof’s child. It seems that they were fond to southern bells, but the “Fifi’ and “Trixi” parts were never explained.

However, all of these names are average compared to the name of Jermaine Jackson’s baby: Jermajesty. Not many people like this name, but if you think about it, it doesn’t really matter. As long as the parents agree, everything is fine. This is probably the weirdest celeb baby name you will see, unless someone else comes up with something more out of the ordinary.

Other names that are worth mentioning are: Tu Morrow – baby of Rob Morrow, Audio Science, Blue Angel, Maddox, Destry and Pilot Inspektor.

It seems that the cases where celebrities come up with unique names are everywhere. In fact, it is kind of difficult to find a celeb baby who has a normal name. In this category, you can notice Rachel, the daughter of Natalie Appleton, the All Saints singer; Jack, the son of Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley and we can also mention Sean, John Lennon’s son.

One thing is certain; if a celebrity is pregnant, you can be sure that she will find an interesting name for her future child and sometimes it might even bring an interesting back-story.
